Hemet/San Jacinto Groundwater Management Area

Water Management Plan

The stakeholders in the Hemet/San Jacinto Groundwater Management Area have developed the Hemet/San Jacinto Water Management Plan to provide a foundation that guides and supports responsible water management in the future.  The local stakeholders involved in the Plan include Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD), Lake Hemet Municipal Water District (LHMWD), City of Hemet, City of San Jacinto, and Private Water Producers.

The Water Management Plan, once adopted by the governing bodies of the stakeholders, will provide a roadmap for implementation of the Physical Solution, ensure adequate and reliable sources of future water supply for the Management Area, and meet the Prior and Paramount Soboba Tribe water rights requirements.  The Plan may be modified and updated in the future based on, among other things, the availability of new data, updated technical analysis, and changes in the institutional/financial structure of the stakeholders.
